Helmsay – Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-02
Effective: 2026-10-02
By creating an account or using Helmsay ("the service") you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old (or older where your local law requires) and able to agree to these terms. Keep your password secret and tell us if you think your account was used by someone else.
2. Safety – driving
Do not use Helmsay while driving unless you are using it fully hands-free and it is legal for you to do so where you are. Never hold, touch or look at your phone while driving. Some places ban even hands-free use for some drivers (for example new or teen drivers). You are responsible for obeying the law and driving safely. Alerts can show on your lock screen.
3. Non-affiliation and trademarks
Helmsay is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anysphere, Inc. Cursor is a trademark of Anysphere, Inc. Other names are the property of their owners. We use "Cursor" in plain text only to describe the service you connect.
4. Third-party services
- The service acts on your Cursor cloud agents only with the API key you connect, and only because you ask it to. You must follow Cursor's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and you are responsible for your Cursor account, its costs and what your agents do.
- We are not responsible for Cursor suspending, changing or breaking its API. The Cloud Agents API is in beta and may change.
- Push delivery depends on Google, your phone and your network.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not try to access other accounts, probe or overload the service, or bypass rate limits or the captcha.
- Do not use it to send spam, malware or anything unlawful, or to store content you have no right to.
- Do not send passwords, API keys or other secrets in alerts: alert text can appear on your lock screen.
- Do not reverse engineer the service except as the law allows.
6. Your content
Alerts, project settings and instructions you send remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Ideas
Anything you submit through the ideas form may be used by us without payment. Do not submit confidential information, passwords, API keys or personal data.
8. Availability and no warranty
The service is provided "as is" without promises of uptime or that alerts will always be delivered on time.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete my account) or via /delete-data. We may limit, suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk, or end the service, and may delete the data of ended accounts.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100; we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for anything that happens while you drive. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law and venue
<GOVERNING LAW / VENUE - OWNER/COUNSEL>
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the dates above show the latest version. If you keep using the service after a change you accept it.
13. Severability and entire agreement
If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service.
